About the 3 Day Diet

The 3 Day Diet is exactly that, a 3 day diet plan that “claims” to help you lose up to 10 pounds in just, you guessed it, 3 days. It establishes a strict eating plan which one must follow in detail over the 3 days. Here is what the 3 Day Diet menu consists of:

DAY 1

    BREAKFAST

  • Black Coffee or Tea (a couple packets of Sweet and Low or equivalent are allowed)
  • 1/2 a Grapefruit or Juice
  • 1 Slice of Toast with 1 tbsp. Peanut Butter

    LUNCH

  • 1/2 a Cup of Tuna
  • 1 Slice of Toast
  • Black Coffee or Tea (a couple packets of Sweet and Low or equivalent are allowed)

    DINNER

  • 3 Oz. any lean red meat or chicken
  • 1 cup each of
    • green beans
    • carrots
    • regular vanilla ice cream
  • 1 apple

DAY 2

    BREAKFAST

  • Black Coffee or Tea (a couple packets of Sweet and Low or equivalent are allowed)
  • 1 Egg (boiled, scrambled, omlette)
  • 1/2 a Banana
  • 1 Slice of Toast

    LUNCH

  • 1 cup of cottage cheese or tuna
  • 8 regular saltine crackers

    DINNER

  • 2 beef franks
  • 1 cup of broccoli or cabbage
  • 1/2 a cup carrots
  • 1/2 a banana
  • 1/2 a cup of regular vanilla ice cream

DAY 3

    BREAKFAST

  • Black Coffee or Tea (a couple packets of Sweet and Low or equivalent are allowed)
  • 5 regular saltine crackers
  • 1 oz. cheddar cheese
  • 1 apple

    LUNCH

  • 1 boiled egg
  • 1 slice of toast
  • Black Coffee or Tea (a couple packets of Sweet and Low or equivalent are allowed)

    DINNER

  • 1 cup each of
    • tuna
    • carrots
    • cauliflower
    • melon
  • 1/2 cup regular vanilla ice cream

Supplemental Information

While on the 3 Day Diet, you’re supposed to also drink at least 4 glasses of water or diet soda each day. You can add herbs, salt and pepper, lemon, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, mustard, and ketchup to your foods for added flavor, but you must stick strictly to the food items assigned each day.

So as you can see, the 3 Day Diet plan is very strict and limited on the type and amount of food you can eat. After the 3 days, you’re supposed to resume normal eating habits without over indulging. You’re supposed to wait about 5 days before resuming the 3 Day Diet, allowing your body to regain the nutrients it needs through normal eating.
